Any way to remove camera lag?
When I move the camera by either the keyboard or (especially) the mouse, it feels sluggish and screws up my brain's feedback control systems. It's as though the camera has to build up or dissipate momentum when starting and stopping. It's especially bad if you zoom in to 1st-person view.
I'm pretty sure this isn't a framerate problem. I think I'm always maxed out at 72fps (vsync refresh rate). Ping differences don't seem to affect it. It feels like something that's designed to make the camera movements smoother, but I hate it. Is there any way to 'fix' this? |

Option 1) Try dropping your resolution a notch or two and turn off Anti-Aliaising.
Option 2) Buy a better graphics card, and use a CRT Monitor Option 3) Buy a better graphics card and a flatscreen witha faster response time Option 4) Get into a regular sleep pattern, eat your greens, maybe get a b-vitamin supplement and drink plenty of water |

I don't get this problem in other games, and I play FPS games heavily. That's probably why this bugs me so much in this game while other people apparently don't even notice it... Just go into first person mode and look around. Compare that to how it feels in quake, half-life, etc. Snap the mouse quickly to the side, and notice that the camera doesn't start to move immediately and continues to move briefly after you've stopped moving the mouse. |

Its called lag, it happens time to time, it is gw after all, however if it is always happening to you then it is something on your end.

It is very consistent, and it's not limited to my machine. I see the same effect on my girlfriend's laptop, and my brother says he saw the same thing when he used to play. It definitely feels like an intentional design to make it feel smoother.. I just hope/wish there's a way to turn it off and get some nice snappy control.

Check your mouse settings in Control Panel - it's possible that some option, such as "enhance pointer precision" or "mouse trails" may affect this.
If you are running a driver for your mouse, try uninstalling it - XP & Vista do not require a driver. |

As this isn't a FPS where camera control is important to gameplay, I don't understand the problem. The camera moves fine for me, and always has, even when I played on dial-up. Going into first-person view isn't needed at all, and makes many things more difficult. Only reason I use first-person view is for screenshots. My camera moves quickly when I need/want it to, but I don't try moving the camera at light speed. Still confused as to what your issue with the camera is. As mentioned by others, it is most likely not the game, as it isn't an issue with 98% of the people playing.
